Mature – Oxidized Sterling Silver Oval Stud Earrings

Mature is a pair of sculptural oval stud earrings handcrafted from solid 925 sterling silver, combining soft geometry with an organic, hand-formed character.

The gently irregular oval silhouette transforms a familiar geometric shape into a small sculptural object. A matte surface softens the form, while the balanced proportions give the earrings enough presence to stand on their own without feeling oversized.

This version is finished with a hand-applied oxidation process that darkens the silver and creates greater contrast across the surface. The deep charcoal tone emphasizes the subtle contours and irregularities of the hand-formed shape, giving Mature a more graphic and distinctive character.

Every pair is individually formed, oxidized, finished, and polished by hand in our Istanbul workshop.

The Design - Mature

Mature explores the space between geometry and organic form.

The oval is familiar and immediately recognizable, but here its contours are softened and subtly irregular rather than perfectly symmetrical. The result is a form that feels controlled without becoming rigid.

Quiet in scale but sculptural in character, Mature is designed as an everyday object whose details become more visible the closer you look.

Finish Options

This design is available in three finishes:

• Oxidized Sterling Silver - a hand-applied darkened finish that creates depth and contrast, emphasizing the contours and subtle irregularities of the sculptural surface.
• 14K Gold Plated - 1.0 micron 14K gold plating gives the silver a soft, warm gold tone while preserving the sculptural character of the surface.
• Rhodium Plated - 1.0 micron rhodium plating creates a bright, cool silver-white surface with a clean contemporary character.

Made by Hand

Every pair is individually formed, refined, oxidized, finished, and polished by hand rather than mass-produced.

Subtle irregularities in shape and surface are intentional traces of the making process. The oxidation is also applied by hand, so slight variations in tone and depth may occur from one pair to another, giving each piece its individual character.

Care

Oxidized silver is intentionally darkened to create its distinctive charcoal surface.

With wear, areas exposed to frequent contact and friction may gradually become lighter, allowing the finish to develop a natural patina over time. This evolution is a characteristic of oxidized silver rather than a defect.

To help preserve the darker finish, avoid direct contact with perfume, alcohol, chlorine, detergents, and other chemicals. Do not use silver-polishing cloths or abrasive cleaners, as they may remove the oxidation.

After exposure to moisture, gently dry the earrings with a soft cloth and store them in their box when not being worn.
